Baggage Policies for Flights by Aeromexico

When we take a plane, we expect to be taken care of in every possible way. We expect to enjoy a comfortable trip in which our airline pays attention to every detail. We expect to travel in comfortable seats, get a good in-flight attention and be sure that our luggage is safeguarded.  Aeromexico is famous for its excellent service and attention. For the most secure transportation of your baggage, please pay special attention to the Baggage Policies for Flights by Aeromexico. Avoid delays and inconveniencies by respecting the baggage norms that are currently in force.

First of all, all checked luggage must display the passenger’s identification (name and address) both inside and outside. The correct identification tags are available uncharged at any check-in counter or at your travel agency.

It is also advisable not to carry valuable items such as jewelry, art, fragile items, official documents, electronic devices, cameras, video equipment, vital medication, perishable products, liquid articles or money in your baggage. Fragile and perishable items are checked and transported at the passenger’s own risk and the company does not assume any liability for these items.

It is also really important to check that the airport code on your baggage check-in ticket coincides with the name of your destination. When claiming your baggage upon arrival, you will need to make sure that the number of Baggage Claim Tag matches the number of pieces of baggage you checked in and that the series number of your Baggage Claim Tags coincides with the ones on your bags’ labels.

Promotions:

If you are a Platinum or Skyteam Elite Plus Passenger, you will be allowed to carry an additional bag with a weight not superior to 20 kilos on any route operated by Aeromexico and Aeromexico Connect and on any class of service.

If you are a Gold or Skyteam Elite Passenger, you will be allowed to carry an additional bag with a weight not superior to 10 kilos on any route operated by Aeromexico and Aeromexico Connect (Mexico) and on any class of service.

There are certain complimentary baggage allowances depending on the type of flight and destination.  

For domestic flights (within Mexico) in Premier Class you can carry 2 pieces (30kg) and in Coach Class, 1 piece (25kg).

For flights to/for US and Canada in Premier Class you can carry 2 pieces (32kg ea.) and in Coach Class, 1 piece (23kg).

For flights to/from Europe in Premier Class you can carry 2 pieces (32kg ea) and in Coach Class, 1 piece (32kg).

For flights to/from Central America in Premier Class you can carry 2 pieces (32kg ea.) and in Coach Class, 2 pieces (32kg ea.)

For flights to/from South America and Cuba except Brazil in Premier Class you can carry 3 pieces (23kg ea.) and in Coach Class, 2 pieces (23kg ea.)

For flights to/from Brazil in Premier Class you can carry 3 pieces (32kg ea.) and in Coach Class, 2 pieces (32kg ea.)

For flights to/from Asia in Premier Class you can carry 3 pieces (32kg ea.) and in Coach Class, 2 pieces (23kg ea.)

If you are travelling with infants one stroller, baby carrier or bassinet of up to 20kg and 1.5 meters long is allowed at no extra charge.
